Re: DL380 G3 managment page not showing environmental status

Are SNMP Services on the server up and running?

did you install using Smartstart or directly with the windows CD?

Hope this helps.

Re: DL380 G3 managment page not showing environmental status

SNMP services on windows?

Are you prompted to log on for viewing the page?

Bye.

The fast solution is:

-Be sure to have SNMP services up and running
-configure public and private strings for community
-configure localhost to receive snmp messages
-download last PSP, extract it to a directory of your choice (c:\HP-PSP\, for example)
-launch setup.exe
-in the remote deployment utility, find the system management homepage in the left pane
-right-click it and select configure.
-configure following instructions to "trust all", create administrators group, and allow local access without login, but network access to require user and password.(remember that during installation one account is created accordingly to the account you are logged in).
-at this point deleteany other components in the right pane, but leave the agents. (Sys mgmt homepage works well with his own version agents than with old ones).
-click install selected components.

This should be the right way (forgive me if i was inexact, but i'm doing such a mnemonic effort... :-) )

Hope this helps.

I do recommend you to reinstall the Proliant Support Pack using the Smart Start CD. This will fix the issue.

Re: DL380 G3 managment page not showing environmental status

well

you know that happends well if you install with SS unistall all hp programs (add/remove programs), after that unistall SNMP (add/remove windows components)

restart server

install SNMP again, configure like Diego told you (traps - security taps in SNMP service)

after that reinstall PSP

any trouble - install java jre or sdk

regards

Didn't your momma teach you to say thanks!

Re: DL380 G3 managment page not showing environmental status

I'm ugly to know that ...

Have your server a management processor installed in it?

The features you mean was working or never work?

The sys mgmt homepage URL is in your trusted sites? Does your internet explorer or (any other browser you're using) block the scripts or activex?

Try to visit the sys mgmt homepage remotely from a client, inserting it in the trusted sites zone of IE.

Try upgrading the driver of the management processor, if any.
(it is possible to upgrade the firmware?)

Hope this helps.
Anyway feel free to post dubts or requests: i'm here to try help you.
