Guys
I have a DL380 G3 that fails to boot, no post information to the screen or anything. no obvious fault lights etc. Can someone point me in the right direction of some diagnostic bits and peices

3# What did you do before it failed?

Hi Paul

Few more additional questions here:

* What is the controller installed or is it the onboard controller that is installed?
* Can we boot the server with the Smartstart CD in case the controller is a Smart array controller and try to check the Array configuration utility for the detection of the controller and the hard drives?
* Any software or hardware updates done?

Actually I havent tried a smartstart CD but as there is no post check or anything like that on the screen and no "beep" so I dont know how you would run the smartstart cd without any visual interface

The machine is using the onboard array card

in terms of firmware etc it is up to date it just didnt recover from a reboot
