DL380 G4 / 6i and Storageworks 4354r?

I am getting a DL38 G4 with imbedded 6i controller. Does anyone know if it is possible to connect to an existing Storageworks 4354r using the external SCSI connector?

If you do that, I'll be unable to use the internal disks.
Attaching a device to the external port, will deactivate the internal channel.
If you want to use internal and external disks, you should add an SmartArray 6402 or 6404.

thanks for the answer...I will need to get a second controller then...

I assume a 5302 or a 5304 would also work..

May I assume that the 6i is compatable with the older 4354r enclosure?

Yes, the 6i will work with the 4354, but if you need to use internal disks, its recommended that you connect the 4354 in the additional controller.

5302 and 5304 will work in the DL380 G4 with the 4354R.
