DL380 G4 Cable Management & SCSI Port 1

I have just tried to attach a SCSI cable to port 1 on the above server and have found that the bottom arm going horizontally across the rack on the new cable management system gets in the way of the cable. The SCSI cable can only be attached to port 1 when the server is pushed forward in the rack. If I locked the server back into position, the cable arm would be bending the SCSI cable either above or below it, as there isn't enough room between port 1 and the cable arm for the SCSI cable.

Has anybody else encountered this and solved it?

Re: DL380 G4 Cable Management & SCSI Port 1

Hi ,

I am not able to clearly understand your situation, but I think you can resolve it by changing the position of the cable manager arm ( on most servers, you can put the cable manager arm either to right side of the server, or the left side, you can change position accordingly and then try to connct the SCSI cable)
