DL380 G4 Does not boot, no bios screen

How do you figure out that it would be the PCI Riser card. Except of course replacing it.

Hi Jack,

did you ever get the DL380 no BIOS screen sorted? Was it the Riser card? I'd like to know as I have exactly the same problem and have followed teh same steps, except for the riser card.

Hi Steve,

No I did not get it fixed.
I ended up by ebaying a replacement server.
I actually tried the riser from the replacement server in the dead one and it stayed dead. I am still contemplating to replace the mob just to have a spare.

Had a similar issue- tried reseating everything and pulling an extra scsi card from the pci riser fixed the issue.

I actually replaced the MoBo, a $85 ebay investment, and it is back up and running like nothing happened.

So in my case it was $85 well spend.
