DL380 G4 - Error When Teaming NC7782

When teaming the 2 onboard NICS - I get a red cross on one of the connections. The error message received is RX Hearbeat Failure. I tried teaming with a port on another card NC7771 and get the same message. Any Ideas as to what may be causing this?

Thanks in advance
Jim

Hi Jim,

Check out the following link

Not sure if you are using Windows 2000 or 2003 but the following links will get you to the site to update your version of the Teaming Software.

To prevent a NIC Team from generating a fault during initialization due to a RX path failure and setting the IP address to 0.0.0.0, upgrade to the HP Network Configuration Utility 7 for Windows Version 7.80 (or later).

The latest version of the HP Network Configuration Utility for Microsoft Windows 2000 is located at the following URL:

The latest version of the HP Network Configuration Utility for Microsoft Windows 2003 (any edition) is located at the following URL:

Thanks for the response. Traced the problem to a faulty patch cable.
