I've connected an HP DLT 40/80 tape drive, made sure the other SCSI port (SCSI out) was terminated and when I boot the DL380 I get the following error message:
"Single sided SCSI enclosure or device attached. This controller model only supports LVD enclosures and devices."
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: DL380 G4 - External backup tape drive
That is what you are saying I need in order for it to work, correct?
Otherwise, I would need to get a new LVD tape drive.
Thank you!

Is it the drive or the card?
Thanks!
