DL380 G4 Management Alerts
We have a DL380 G4 and it has a version of the HP Management Agents that allows me to put in an email address which will send me alerts if there are any problems with the server...
The other day I thourght is was about time that I updated the HP software, so I went to the HP download area and latest Proliant Support Pack v8.15...
The old Management Agent interface seems to have gone...?, can any one tell me how I can set the server up to send me alerts again...?
Thanks in advance...

Re: DL380 G4 Management Alerts
Thanks for that.. The problem was the icons for the Agents had dissapeard...
Just worked out that the Management Agents are a seperate install... Mmmm...
Well, I've installed them and when I test it there is an error in the Event Viewer and no test email is sent..??
Event Type: Error
Event Source: CimNotify
Event Category: (1)
Event ID: 5
Date: 18/02/2009
Time: 13:32:11
User: N/A
Computer: DLCNLOGIN1
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 5 ) in Source ( CimNotify ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Foundation Agents: Generic Trap.
Any help on this would be most welcome..?
