DL380 G4 - NC7782 nic teaming and server 2008 R2

Is it possible to have NIC teaming on Windows 2008 R2 64bit running on a Proliant DL380 G4 with dual HP NC7782 Gigabit NICs? I tried downloading http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=ca&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=397634&prodNameId=3288132&swEnvOID=4024&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-dfc943c6e1cb4424859c1f4447

but it said the OS was wrong

I'm not sure what you mean - It would Team up before when running Windows2003 as the HP Networking software would install. We have formatted and put Windows2008R2 64bit on it, and while we have drivers for the NIC, the HP software wont install as it says "wrong OS" - even thought I downloaded it from the 2008 driver/software page

Hi,

W2008 R2 is not supported on this Server.
You can see in the supported O/S under Server model it is not listed.The Server does not meet the required hardware for W2008 R2.

Hi,

You can use the other versions of w2008 not R2 if that is any good to you.So you just need to do what is best for you on this matter.
