DL380 G4 Upgrade

Hi,

I've upgraded a DL380 G4 running Redhat Enterprise 3 with the lastest kernel and it now fails at boot. Does anyone else had this problem? It seems to work fine on DL360s but not the DL380.

Hi Tim

Following link shows OS compatibility Matrix, where both DL360 & DL380 are supported

Re: DL380 G4 Upgrade

Thanks.

What I'm after is some help with the new kernel. It would seem that it's not compatiable with the DL360G4 and I'm not sure why. I've moved back to the old kernel but the problem still seems to exist. Any ideas?

Re: DL380 G4 Upgrade

If it helps, the kernel I'm using is 2.4.21-37.0.1.

Re: DL380 G4 Upgrade

Why does the server failed at boot? Problems while trying to mount the root-fs or any other problem?

Re: DL380 G4 Upgrade

It looks like the / drive is mounted before FSCK. I'm not sure why.
