DL380 G4 & Kingston Memory
I recently obtained a stable of DL380 G4s (SCSI). I've been looking for memory, but I've read conflicting things - some say I have to buy HP memory, others say I don't have to. Non-HP memory is significantly cheaper, but I don't want to order something useless.
Matching spec-for-spec with the 359243-001 2GB single-rank chip from HP, I found the Kingston KVR667D2S4P5/2G from NewEgg here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134920&Tpk=KVR667D2S4P5%2f2G
Before I buy these, can anyone confirm yes or no that these will work?
Thanks,
John D

Re: DL380 G4 & Kingston Memory

As long as the servers don't directly reject non-HP memory, I think this should work. Does anyone know if they reject non-HP?
Thanks,
John

Re: DL380 G4 & Kingston Memory
By the way, afaik you cannot buy compatible high-density ram (8Gb or higher) for HP servers not from HP.
