DL380 G4 and DEP - Where in RBSU?

I updated one of our DL380 G4 servers with the December 2004 BIOS. In the BIOS release notes it says a RBSU feature was added to enable or disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention). However, I do not see that option anywhere in the RBSU.

Where is the feature?

Re: DL380 G4 and DEP - Where in RBSU?

..... Support for No Execution Mode (NX Mode). This feature allows systems to be protected against .... This feature (NX Mode) must be enabled both in the operating system and in ROM-Based Setup. This feature is referred to as Data Execution Prevention (DEP) in Windows operating systems.....

seems it should be called NX Mode ?? in BIOS

Hi Derek
NX mode ... must be enabled ... meaning was made by default, so there no really function to enable or disable it will be fixed settings in BIOS.

So you are saying that it is enabled in the Proliant BIOS and I can't choose whether to turn it off or on?
