DL380 G4 and IRQ-Sharing

Hello,

we've got a DL380 G4 with 2 ISDN terminal-adapter network cards in the PCI-X riser cage.
In the RBSU I can only assign one IRQ to both cards as when I try to change the IRQ of one card, the other card gets the same IRQ assigned.

Is it possible to assign different IRQs to the cards as this is really important to us.

Thanks in advance

Florian,

If you don't need the serial COM1 port you should be able to disable this and use IRQ 4, freed by this change. It might help.

Re: DL380 G4 and IRQ-Sharing

Hi Brian,

I already deactivated nearly everything (USB, Com, Floppy Controller) so there are enough free IRQs, but it seems that the Slots 2 and 3 of the riser cage and the Second NIC(wich is also deactivated) always get the same irq assigned.

Thanks

Re: DL380 G4 and IRQ-Sharing

Ok, i found the problem.

The PCI-X Riser cage has 3 PCI-Slots, but on there are only 2 PCI-X Channels available. The upper two Slots are connected to the same channel A and the lower slot is connected to channel B.

Cheers
