DL380 G4 doesn't turn on automatically when power line on UPS is restored
I've have a problem with one of ours server.
We use a DL380 powered through an HP R3000 UPS.
We use the software Onlinet Centro to manage the shut-down when power line goes down. The shut-down procedure is correctly managed by Onlinet. By the way, when the main power is re-established, the server doesn't turn on automatically. The option "Automatically power on" on the iLO-card webpage is set to "Yes".
Someone has an advice about this issue?

Re: DL380 G4 doesn't turn on automatically when power line on UPS is restored
As per your statements, What I can figure out is that you want the server to be up & running as soon as the mains are restored.
This functionality is not available in the Server. It may be available in the UPS or management software, But not in Server , Because Server can't differentiate between Main power & UPS power.
But if the server is not powered on when the Power is reapplied after a power loss, then the ilo option & the following RBSU option turns on the server should be enabled.
Press F9 on POST to enter RBSU>
Server Availability>Automatic Power ON> Enable
Hope that will help
Thanks

Re: DL380 G4 doesn't turn on automatically when power line on UPS is restored
I've checked this option in the server's BIOS. I've found disabled (and I've now enabled) the automatic power on.
By the way, nothing has changed. The server still remain powered off.
I've also enabled the wake on LAN option but I don't if this feature is related to this problem.
