DL380 G4 hang issue

I have DL380 G4 server running Red Hat Linux. The issue am facing is that after every 2-3 days the server just hangs and stops responding neither am able to ping the server nor i can telnet/ssh.

The only solution is to reboot the server.i checked the Filesystem when the server is backup and it's only 43% utilized. I tried finding something in linux server log but hardly found any error.

Does anyone has any idea, what might causing this behavior?

check ILO event log (IML) por hardware events

has it always been doing this or did you change anything?

any error leds lit on it?

Also take a look at firmware versions and update if you don't have the latest available version.

This server always do this after couple of days......from where do i check the firmware for the server?

Hi,

Try to check that issue by upgrading firmware by firmware maintenace cd which comes with HP server or u can download from HP web site .
