DL380 G4 "SB" led amber

Hi all,

since a few days i saw that the healthy-led on my 380 G4 is amber.

I looked in the Server inside, and then I saw that a led on the system board is amber near to the RAM.

The Quick Manual told me that this leds are for iLO, bu I don't belive this really.

There are 6 leds (BI, IE, NM, SB and MC) and the led next to "SB" is amber.

What does this mean?

I know already this page, it's printed on the inside of the server cover.

The LED i'm talking about is located near 13. But iLO is working fine and nothing interesting is in the iLO log.

That's why I've no idea about this LED ;-)

I've found the problem!

Two RAM-Modules were defective.

First, I've replaced the system Board, the LED was also on.

Then I removed the RAM, and the LED was off :-D

I added more ram, and I found out that 2 DIMMs were defective.
