DL380 G4 with DAT72
The BIOS and the scsi controller reports the tapedrive.
But the OS (SUSE enterprise server 9) cannot find the drive.
The tapeware 7 cannot find the drive also.
It is a new installation.
Internal hotswap DAT72 with RAID 5 disk array.
Anybody with tips?
Thanks,
Harry

Re: DL380 G4 with DAT72
The CCISS driver is likely the cause. The driver support for tape drives connected to the SmartArray channel is lacking.
The CCISS driver for SUSE Server 8 only reciently gained support that worked with tape drives.
I do not think there has been an update yet for 9. You may find one at SUSE.

Re: DL380 G4 with DAT72
Thanks for the reply, Strange, because the proliant is official support in combination with SLES9 by HP.
Do you know if the driver wil work with SLES9?
