DL380 G5 CPU Error Threshold Crossed

After updating PSP to version 8.6 I received the following warning in my system log from the server agent.
"System Information Agent: Standard Equipment: A processor has crossed the threshold of allowable corrected errors. The processor should be replaced. Slot: '0'; Socket: '1'; Cpu Speed: '3200'; External Bus Speed: '1066'; Cache Size: '4096'"
Other than this warning, the server has no indication at boot-up or while running of a problem. Is the CPU really bad? Are there diagnostics I can run

If you boot the server off of Smart Start you should be able to run insight diagnostics on the server. This should give you a better idea if there is a problem
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

It's most likely bad.

If you have memory with threshold exceeded.
and you reboot the server, then the counter is reset. and it will start counting all over again, untill threshold is exceeded again, and come up with a new warning.

Running a system diagnositcs will not detect the failure.
You will be able to "see" the failure in the IML (Integrated management Log), or for the memeory you will see it in the survey overview.

This I know from experience.

I don't know for the CPU, but I suspect it could be the same.

I would check the IML. If the IML got the entry, then the CPU is bad.

Re: DL380 G5 CPU Error Threshold Crossed

Note.

Since this has occoured after PSP upgrade.
You could try:
Upgrade BIOS.
Mark entries in IML as repaired.

If it come back, then CPU is bad.
