DL380 G5 CPU upgrade from dual core to quad core not working
I currently have a single Xeon dual core 5130 in my system (DL380 G5). I also have the board supporting up to the quad core 5430's (436526-001). I have attempted multiple 5430's and VRM's out of working systems, but none will boot. The fans run at high RPM, and no video is present. iLO still functions. Replacing with the 5130 again, it boots fine.
Steps taken:
I have completed a full ROM upgrade using the HPE SPP from 2016.
I have attempted one 5430 and VRM at a time, or both. I have attempted 4x VRM's (known working) and 3x 5430's.
I have reset NVRAM and iLO.
Any ideas? I would be able to bump up this system from a single dual core 2.0ghz proc to 2x quad core 2.6ghz procs, which would be a HUGE performance jump.
