DL380 G5 MSA500 G2 cluster
need help. Was building the win2003 R2 on DL380 G5 connected to MSA500 G2 but when I install the multipath accordingly to the guide, the server will not boot up after the installation. It boot to the Win2003 loading screen and restart itself again.
Anyone has encounter this before? where did I go wrong?
This are brand new hardware.

Re: DL380 G5 MSA500 G2 cluster
Try removing the fiber connections and then try to boot.
If still no go try removing the Fiber cards and then try to boot.
Still no go....Try safe mode or last known good config.
If you are able to get the server to boot back up check and see what storport driver version you are using. You may need to update this first.

Re: DL380 G5 MSA500 G2 cluster
thanks. There is no fibre, just SCSI connection and I can't even perform safe boot. :(
I read somewhere the problem could be related to the multipath software version and I found the shipped CD version is very old.(even though we just got the delivery)
Will download the latest and try.
