DL380 G5 Network Cards numbered different after Windows Installation

I have setup 4 DL380 G5 servers with Windows 2003 R2 on.

Once installed the cards are numbered different in Windows. Any ideas how this could be corrected?

The onboard NIC's are different. If you look at the connection properties in Windows then look at the rear of the server the numbers are different. For example i teamed the cards plug 1 x cat 5 in say port 2 and port 1 becomes connected in Windows. This only happens on DL380 G5's?

I have built 3 dl360's and 2 DL580's and they dont do this

I aleady have the lastest ROM

I also downgraded the ROM which never worked

I have been onto HP and they have suggested just renaming the cards?

That isnt really a fix?

i think this was known issue with win2000. the workaround was the same-renaming the connections...
