DL380 G5 Rebooting ADS issue
Hi,
I have 6 DL380 G5 and i managed to build 4 of the servers using the ADS without any problems.
I tried doing the same thing i did for the remaining 2 but it keeps rebooting at the end of the ADS installation, when i look at the ADS error it give me this message: "The job failed to run because the device was rebooted.".
When i try to turn on the server it reaches the windows loading bit then it reboots.
Any idea on how to prevent this?
Thanks

Re: DL380 G5 Rebooting ADS issue
Hello Rafik,
Are these IDENTICAL Servers ?
Could you try a FRESH new job?
MS does mention that its a Controller error, but gives no further info.
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/all/ADS/en-us/object_methods_controller_errorstatuscodes.mspx?mfr=true
Try going through :
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/all/ADS/en-us/trouble_svcs.mspx?mfr=true
n see if you may wanna change any configurations based on their tips.
Regards,

Re: DL380 G5 Rebooting ADS issue
Hi James,
The problem occurs on identical servers, i even tried using a whole new machine for the ADS and the same problem occured. I tried using port 2 instead of 1 and used port 2 as the PXE boot but that didnt help. It seems like something is preventing windows to install or load. I even tried loading a win server 2003 SP1 instead of SP2 but that had no effect.
I could try and re-use one of the other servers that worked fine just to establish if its the ADS build or the server that is at fault.
