here Problem in Linux Enterprice 3 installation Error Msg is Hard Drive is not Found, how to install Smart Array P400 Driver for HDD Access?

i have Smart Array P400/256mb in DL380 G5 server and i trying to install Linux ES 3 & 4 but i m not abl to install it b'coz P400 controller driver is not install.

--> i trying this methos but not solved my prob Please Halp me b'coz that is veryu critical Situation for me.....HP was give driver link below but i m not sucess ( i doing way of link but not)

Hi,

It sounds as though you are using an old version of RedHat that doesn't have the updated cciss driver to recognise the P400 SmartArray controller.

According to RedHat:

You need to be using at least Update 7 or RHEL 3.

but it is not work..
i make floppy by rawrite Utility from RH 3..floppy is created & i trying to install RH 3 ... i can use linux dd command..
& give driver from floppy ,floppy can Initialize & read but driver can not taken.


Plz Halp me..still it call is panding..

finally i got solution of this perticuler problem..


Need RHES4 with Update 4 disk is needed for install it.
