DL380 G5 Teaming Fail "A fatal error occurred - error code not recognized. Error code = 1"
Hi,
I recently tried to TEAM the 2 NICS on a DL380 G5 running Server 2003 SP2 32-bit but got the following error code from the HP Network Configuration Utility after around 120 seconds:
"A fatal error occurred - error code not recognized. Error code = 1"
The utility then quits and creates a failed teamed NIC in network connections, but doesn't show a TEAM in the HP NCU itself. The server networking carries on running all ok through the original NIC. I tried this several times and ended up with 4 failed NIC TEAMS which i had to delete from device manager.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening please? Or any way to get a look at any log files for this error as the event logs are empty?
For info, the NIC's are HP NC373i Gigabit with HP driver 6.0.32.0 and I installed the latest version of HP NCU.
Many thanks.
James
