DL380 G5 Windows Setup error 00000400

Trying to install w2k3 sp3, run the 64 bit version of smart start, create the arrays with no problem, windows setup starts and I get:

"DISK I/O Error: Status = 00000400"

Have tried different smartstart cd's and different OS cd's to no avail.

Anyone else seen this?

Did you tried other version of Windows?
i.e. sp2 or 32bit etc.

Tried 32 bit version as well.

Please check controller and hard drives by running Array Diagnostics Utility from smart smart.
You can also run offline diagnostics to confirm health of other hardware.

Ran the diagnostic utility, no errors.

In response to the BIOS updates, there is no OS on the box, is there a way to flash the BIOS from Smart Start?

Tried firmware update 8.70, no joy. Ran full hardware diagnostics, all passed. Trying to run a linux os against the box. Will post results shortly.
