DL380 G5 after an rdp image cant use dns.

Have been using rdp for the last year with dl380 g4s and obtaining an image and pushing them to numerous proliants DL380g4s. Now doing our first G5 after loading win2k3, loading all the updates, everything is working, we do our normal process , image the box, deploy to another G5. All works except the DNS wont resolve. Tried all the tricks out there. I fixed it by removing the tcpip stack and reinstall . all is ok now but wanted to find out a root cause. any suggestions.
