DL380 G5 and DL320s Auto Start with APC UPS and AP9617
All,
We are having issues with APC UPS' and the newer Proliant models. We have all our servers in the field connected to an APC UPS, some are connected with AP9617 management cards. They are installed in SUA3000 and SUA2200 Rackmount units.
Our problem is that when the power goes out, the UPS shuts down the servers and then when the power comes back, they never get turned back on. I have followed the below steps as to what I thought was the solution but it did not work.
Solution:
1. Power down server.
2. Press to enter BIOS
(System will say тАЬF9 PressedтАЭ in lower right hand side of screenтАЭ)
3. BIOS will display
4. Arrow down to Server Availability
5. Press.
6. Arrow down to Automatic Power-On.
7. Press.
8. Select Enabled.
9. Press.
10. Press.
11. Press.
12. Press to Confirm Exit.
I have a lab UPS and DL380 G5 to test these on. Please let me know any ideas that you may have.

Karlo,
Please explain. Do you mean power server down and unplug the power cords then plug back in?
Thanks,
Graeme
