DL380 G5 fibre channel drivers

I have a DL380 G5 running windows 2003. I first installed service pack 1 and later upgraded to service pack 2. Problem is that i am failing to install the fibre channel drivers for this model. Can someone help please

hi,

at first you need to know what type/model of HBA do you jhave inside the server, and them send this information to this forum, and we will try to find the right driver.

check this site if you have a HP HBA, you should be able to find it on this site depend on your model :

hi,

if you have physical access to the sevrer on the backside of the server where rhe connectors are is writen the model.

If you don't want to open up the server you might get lucky looking at the purchase order of the server.

PCI Express x8 slots. Slot 1 is consumed by the P400 Smart Array controller

Does this give a good idea about the HBA. Please advise i am not so familier.

Hi, unfortunately that is an SAS HBA.

Might say emulex or maybe qlogic. Somewhere.

If you're lucky, you might be able to see it listed in BIOS under boot options.

What would be the correct driver for that one. I know its emulex not qlogic.

if you have an SMH installed you could connect to see what type of card is in the slots.

Hi, P400 is not a fibre channel card, it's a SAS-SATA card.

Paschal - if you look at the link Michal posted before you'll see that there are lots of cards.. you need to be more precise.
