DL380 G5 iLO2 disappears?
I have 2 DL380 G5 servers with iLO2 advanced packs installed. When I accessed the iLO's to make a config change (SNMP, etc..anything) and apply changes that require a reset the ILO's become unresponsive. The only way I found to get them back is to power down the servers, disconnect the power, plug them in again and restart the servers.
I have updated the firmware (7.90) and the drivers (PSP 7.9) but neither helps. When I go to the system managment page for these servers after an iLO reset it shows that there is no managment processor.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any idea's on how to correct the problem?
Thanks in Advance,
Henry

I see you have PSP 7.9
OK do you have also the latest firmware for ilo2? version 1.35

Didn't make any difference at all.
Thanks,
Henry

Re: DL380 G5 iLO2 disappears?
there is another similar issue but with ilo...
let's see try applying the ilo firmware (bin) again and if that does not work try a previous firmware version
I suppose you have this in a network environment?
do you have the chance to connect a PC directly to the server and try?

Re: DL380 G5 iLO2 disappears?
I have used networked workstations to access the iLO2 but when it is inaccessible from the server it is also inaccessible from a workstation on the network. The iLO2 does not even respond to a ping request when it resets and disappears.

Re: DL380 G5 iLO2 disappears?
Try ilo security override - it is the first pin on the system maintenance switch, located on the systemboard.
Do you have the possibility to enter with f8 during post in ilo config?
