Re: DL380 G5 memory configuration ?
There are quite a few memory related issues in the revision history.
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/27086.html
I would give this a try and see if it resolves it.
outside of that I am fresh out of ideas here.

Re: DL380 G5 memory configuration ?
The memory configurations looks correct.
looking through the Service and Maintenance guide,i guess we would have to configure few options in the RBSU during Boot (F9)
I dont have much info about it.
Please refer to Page: 57 on the Maintenance and Service guide.

Re: DL380 G5 memory configuration ?
I have looked everywhere - the bios / firmware have the latest upgrades and the RSBU gives no clue - maybe the HP insight diagnostics is wrong - it happened before !
This hardware is pretty new and it is running win 2003 x64 R2
Maybe the software is wrong ?

What version of Proliant Support Pack is installed?
