Hello
I have a DL380 G5 currently running dual core 1.6 Ghz. I'd like to upgrade the processors to 2.33ghz quad core but I'm not sure if I need a motherboard upgrade (436526-001) to support the new processors. My SN is CZC65200DD.
Thanks in advance
Rob

Solution
Hi Rob,
now you have 407749-001 , which supports only dual core CPUs.
In order to support quad core you need the 436526-001.
The quad core sysboard supports dual core CPUs, but dual core sysboard DON't support quad core CPUs...
If you insert QC CPU in your server now, you will receive POST Error 805- Unsupported Processor detected...
