DL380 G5 server showing no interupts on second processor
Hi all
I added a processor on DL380 G4 server which is running RHEL 4.0. After addition if i check the /proc/interrupts file it shows me no I/O interupts on the newly added processor. The output of the file is something like this:
CPU0 CPU1
0: 99543 0
2: 0 0
4: 287 0
8: 0 0
9: 0 0
15: 2 0
28: 16971 0
29: 44 0
30: 5954 0
NMI: 26 4
LOC: 97941 98556
ERR: 0
MIS: 0
So, even after addition of new processor only one processor is handling all I/O's.
I read in some documents that this is a problem of тАЬI/O APIC annoyanceтАЭ, and has been seen for Xeon Processors but couldn't find a way to fix this. Please guide me how to resolve this issue.
Both the processors are identical and compatible.
Linux kernel supports multi processor
(Linux tz 2.6.9-34.0.2.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Jul 7 19:52:49 CDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux)
thanks in advance.
