DL380 G5

I want to add an additional HDD into an existing RAID 6 logical drive to increase space.

Is this possible? And if so how do I go about doing it?

Cheers

Yes, it is possible. Read the doc:

Re: DL380 G5

Hi Bungle,

you may refer to guide provided in the previous post to do that

adding drive to exiting Array using expand option then adding space into existing logical drive using extend option.

now once logical drive is extended, you need to use that space in operating system. so you may create another partition out of new space added and if you want to extend the existing partitions then you may have use some third party software like partition magic etc. to do that.

Before performing any task make sure you have valid backup in place.

Cheers!
