DL380 G5

I'd like to be confirmed if a DL380G5 with a full hardware configuration could work fine only if is embedded with 2 power supplies.
Thanks in advance for you answer

Re: DL380 G5

Thanks for your answer and excuse me for my english (I speak italian).
I would say, my friends tell that in full hardware configuration (two processors, etc.), to startup the server I need two power supplies then after startup they works in redundant option, is it true?
Ps.: this problem there is also in G4 servers.

Thanks

Re: DL380 G5

Hot plug power supply, redundancy option (High performance models include redundant power supply)

Both will be function, they can share load: 1 = ½ + ½
If one fails second take full load
see this

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1040155

it applies to G4 too

Re: DL380 G5

In ful hardware configration with 1 PSU in working state it's ok, but in the first startup, when I buy the server, with only 1 PSU don't start, I had to buy the second PSU
