DL380 G6 "processor in incorrect slot"
i replaced an damaged system board and it worked fine for 4 days. After OS update installation IT needed to restart it and then server couldn't pass the POST, displaying error messag 'Processor in incorrect slot' can not boot from CD and can not access BIOS. We have changed the position of the processors and the error was the same. I cleared CMOS and problem still persist .Insight display show orange amber led to the processor N0.1.

"Processor in incorrect slot"
=> your processor or the slot or the VRM module probably failed.
"We have changed the position of the processors and the error was the same."
If you remove the second processor and leave the first, then your system may not respond at all!
"i replaced an damaged system board"
I would not trust that replacement board too, but first look at the VRM.
Also check if both processors are same type!
"Please HELP me"
within a few hours?
If it's that urgent you should have a service contract with HP, and not rely on volounteers looking once in a while at posts on this forum?
