DL380 G7 Proliant, with Smart Array P410i Controller with 256mb.
Array A = Raid0 - 1 x 146GB
Unassigned Disk = 1 x 146GB
How do I go about adding the unassigned disk to Array A and creating a RAID1 set? The only Wizard options present within HP Array Configuration Utiltiy are: Express Configuration/ Controller Settings/ Add a Logical Drive (which only allows me to create a brand new Array) / Remove a logical drive & More Information.
I've also booted server from HP SmartStart - again no obvious options on how to add disk.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DL380 G7 - W2K8 R2 Server - How to convert Array from RAID0 to RAID1 set
First you need to ensure that both Cache+battery is installed for this controller (BBWC). If there no Cache and battery, then you cannot do Expansion, extension and migration.
As per my understanding, HP Dos not really recommended RAID 0 to any other RAID migration but you can do it (I have done it)
Steps to follow: (You need to perform below said steps under Configuration tab of ACU
Select the RAID 0 Array (not logical drive),then click on Expand Array button
Select the new unassigned HDD and Expand Array
Wait till the expansion/Transformation is complete.
Now select the RAID 0 logical drive (Not Array) from ACU
Click on Migrate RAID/Stripe Size
Now you will get an option RAID 1.
Wait till Migration is completed.
If you need screemshots, you may check below provided 3rd party link (non-HP link)
Expand an Array and Extend a Logical Drive using ACU
Hope this helps, if not, please reply

Hi
THanks for the prompt reply, from searching HP docs thought that i would have to have Battery cache alright, but was hoping there was a way around this!
Kind Regards,
