DL380 Gen10 won't boot after installing P408e-p
Fully working DL380 Gen10 server with a P408i-a controller 23 drives in 4 arrays running Windows 2012R2. This has been running without issue for about 1 year. I now have a D3610 Storage Cabinet that i want to attach and have a P408e-p controller card to install. Shutting down and installing the new card i get into an endless reboot cycle that never gets to WIndows. i found an article about possible firmware issue (1.04) so i used the latest SPP 2019.12.0 for Gen10 and updated all firmware on the server. Now both cards are at firmware 2.62 but i get the same failed boot cycle. It configured with UEFI boot mode so the legacy BIOS mode doesn't apply. What could i be doing wrong?

Re: DL380 Gen10 won't boot after installing P408e-p
Hello Joseph,
does it show any error message at post ? or ahev you tried to boot node after removing the newly added card ?
I would suggest to log a case with HPE support team with AHS logs captured when additional card is installed in server.
Regards

Re: DL380 Gen10 won't boot after installing P408e-p
I also have a customer with a somewhat similar sounding issue. Involves DL560 Gen10 with P816 and P408e. Can't succesfully image the drives until the P408e is removed. If I get a solution, I'll come back and update this post...
