DL380 Gen9 P440ar different Raids

Hello,

sorry for my bad english.

Is it possible to run different Raid-Levels  with the P440ar Controller.

For example one pair of drives is RAID 6 and the next pair os RAID 5. Is it possilbe to manage the RAIDs with the P440ar using only the main server withput additional shelfs.

Hello, yes, it possible. e.g two HDD - RAID 1, three HDD - RAID 5, and so on. (note: max 8 HDD  without expander),  all simultaneously. Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA) is the tool for configuring arrays. You can run SSA before launching the OS, or after, as a utility within OS. External disk enclosures not supported with P440ar.
