DL380 - HDD future failure error

Hello,

We have a DL380 HP server and when we boot up we receive the following error when scaning SCSI drive:

''Drive 1 on adapter 0 is predicting a future failure. Sense qualifier 00h ''

It probably means that I should buy a replacement HDD asap but I just wanted to double check if anyone here ever received that error.

Any idea how much time I have left? Is there something I can do other then buying a replacement drive? What does the sense qualifier 00h means?

Thanks in advance!

Re: DL380 - HDD future failure error

Hi,

yes HP supports predictive failure. this means when their Hardware detects that there will be failure , because of correctable error threshold exceeds.
This means that HDD will fail soon, it is good to replace it before actual failure.

About 00h, check under the Sense code section :
