There is no prompt for an F key, I've tried all (?) of them during boot. I can't find much doco in support.
Any suggestions?

Your dl380 (P17) thats the 667-1000 mhz model I do believe. To access your bios their is an option (F10) when posting to access the Compaq System configuration utility, if install previously. If not install previously you run it with the smart start or you will have the option of running it form floppy. You cannot install the System configuration utility after the OS is install.
