Solution
Hi Ricahrd,
Yes, the DL380G1 will support full length and height modules at 5V, for example a Smart Array 5300. All of the slots are 5V/Universal however slot 1 (the lowest slot) is a 32bit slot normally reserved for the Remote Lights Out Module if you ever fit one, so it's best to use one of the other 5V 64bit slots as these can take 32bit/64 bit modules. There are alos plastic support guides for the installed PCI modules.
I have attached a copy of the DL380G1 quickspec in PDF format. More details on the slots and supported options are included in this.
