Have you checked the Array Configuration Utility on the DL380 for messages? This could be an error like the battery backed cache has not been fully charged.

Re: DL380 and accelerator

Yes. All seems to be Ok. There are no messages.
This morning again, due to reboot, a event in sim was generated...

Have you upgraded the firmware to the latest version? You can download a cdrom image to boot from which will upgrade all hardware firmware>

I would also install the latest drivers for the controller which can be found at>

The firmware version for my smart array 5i is 2.62. I think that it's the last firm.

Re: DL380 and accelerator

Dear Anthony
you could try to check the accelertor setting in the Array Configration Utility , if you selected this option maybe the message will not appear.

Re: DL380 and accelerator

Smart Array 5i. When i said, the controller don't use raid accelerator, it's for the checkbox in properties of this controller.

Re: DL380 and accelerator

Check the System Event Logs incase Windows or check the Integrated Management Log.When it says Accelarator Board Status Change,it will also list the Status Code number

Below is the number and its meaning

1 - unknown

2 - invalid

3 - enabled

4 - temp. disabled

5 - perm. Disabled

Also, run Array Diagnostic Utility which can be run Online as well as Offline to further check
