DL380 issue with PPM LED Amber

I have an issue with a DL380 server. I am trying to get this going however the RED LED on the from of the server is RED and the PPM1 LED is lit amber. What does this mean and how might I fix this?

Re: DL380 issue with PPM LED Amber

Hello Nick,

Perhaps its a PPM failure.
Incase this is after trying to add a 2nd processor, first update the system rom and then install the proc/ppm.
You may try reseating the ppm as well.

This DL380 only has the 1 processor, I have tried to reseat the PPM however this has not made any difference. If the CR9 LED next to the PPM shows Orange does this mean it has failed?

Pg E-2 (184 of 228) and E-13 (195 of 228)

It could be a PPM failure.

Re: DL380 issue with PPM LED Amber

Reseat the PPm and the Processor, If the problem persists and you have another DL380 server you may swap PPMs and Processor to find which component is failing. if you dont have one replace the PPM. Also you may try to clear the NVRAM. Hope this will help you. Good Bye
