DL380 on Array 5i for logical drive extension
Now, there is this status msg that dont go away and it say I/O in q.....
In my win 2003 svr, drive manager, how can extend the logical drive.

Also, in my ACU, it has been days when i extend the size and i still have the 'status message", any way to resolve it? please find attached

1. Backup your system with Ghost, or similar... recreate the Array and Logical drive... Re-image the machine.
2. Find a 3rd party utility like or similar to Partition Magic to modify the partition structure. It is questionable whether or not PM works with Windows Server 2003, but the general concensus is that it does not. I am not aware of the utilities used by others for this, but I know there are a couple.
3. Create a "D:" partition or mount the extra space as a folder/mountpoint on the C: drive.
There is no easy way to expand your System/OS drive. Data drives on the other hand are easily expandable/extendable via diskpart.exe.
