DL380 red light.

We have several DL380 in our company.
One of them due to overheating (I guess) has a red light in the right upper corner. the 1st LED
What does that light mean?
And How can I turn it into green?

I know 3rd and 4th leds mean nic activity for both cards. but I've never encountered a red light in the first led as I described above.

thank you much for any insight on the matter.

regards.

Re: DL380 red light.

Red = System critical. Refer to system board LEDs to identify component in critical state.

Re: DL380 red light.

The first light is the Server Health indicator. The Red light is usually a failed component warning indicator or a misplaced/misinserted piece of equipment. It could be a fan, a PS, memory, a cpu....

Look inside the system, you should see little green lights on the systemboard. One will probably be amber/red. This is an indication for that particular component where it is located.

To turn it green, you will need to repair/replace or otherwise fix the hardware issue.
