Re: DL380 server restart

Isn't the idea that often the ASR reboots the server before a complete dump has been taken?

Any errors in ILO or windows event log?

Re: DL380 server restart

Thanks for your replay.

There is no error messages on ILO and i don't see any relevant error messages on event log. Can this be related to the firmware update or bad memory?

Re: DL380 server restart

hi, it could merly be a software error rather than hardware or firmware. Check all your drivers are upto date, especially lan drivers in my opinion

what generation server is it?

see this link for details from microsoft about the bug check

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557201(v=vs.85).aspx

I would also run the diagnostics from the smart start cd as well

Re: DL380 server restart

Its a G5 generation server. I will look into the driver updates, but I have two other servers that were purchase during the same time and have the same driver/software version as this one. I'm leaning to memory(RAM)issue.

Re: DL380 server restart

OK.

To test the memory run the insight diagnostics or check out the memtest86 iso.
