DL380 servers missing IP counters in Windows 2000

All Proliant DL380 servers we have installed here are missing IP, TCP and UDP counters in the Performance tool in Windows 2000. Our HP LH 3000 servers all have the IP, TCP and UDP counters running the same Windows 2000 softwear configureations. This also affects other counters such as DNS counters since IP counters do not exist. Anybody else seen this?

This has been an ongoing issue for me on all new proliant servers I have recently installed. Over the last 6 months I have installed 1 ML350G3, 5 DL 360G3, 4 DL 380 G3, 2 DL 580G2 and 1 DL740. All of these exhibit the same symptoms, event ID 1010 in app log w/ msg of missing performance counters. No one has been able to resolve this for me yet!!!

I have the same problem on various servers, and would like to get it resolved as well. Apparently SP4 address' the issue. If you're like me, you won't be applying SP4 for a little while until it has become proven. There is a Pre-SP4 HF available that address' the problem as well, but you have to contact MS Technical support to receive it. If anyone knows of a better place to get it, can you let us know.

I don't know whether this will work for you or not, but I was missing the 'Network' object on some DL380 G3 servers, and eventually found this knowledge base article which worked for me.
