DL380: upgrading internal SA to 5302 on a W2K server

DL380: upgrading internal SA to 5302 on a W2K server

Hi,

Does somebody know how to upgrade on a DL380R01 running Win2K server from the internal array to a 5302 array?

Unfortunately these arrays don't use the same drivers and what I get are only blue screens...

Thanks in advance for help

Update the firmware on the server. Install the SA5300 in a PCI slot. With the drives still connected to the integrated controller boot the server. Install the 5x driver for w2k. Bring the server down; run the system configuration utility and set the 5300 as your boot controller and connect the drives to the SA5300. You can also set the 5300 as the boot controller using the F8 config (ORCA) for the controller. Also update the firmware for the 5300 controller.
There’s your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!
