DL380 vs MPX100

Hi,

I've not much experience with storage solution, but I would like ask for tecnical assistance to decide which iSCSI support is my best option.

I have EVA8000 Storagework SAN solution over FC but I need iSCSI support also ..

Which are the main differences and strong points of each option?

I think your question should be rather posted under Storage section.

Anyway. If you are talking about the DL380 Storage Server + iSCSI option, then it will probably cost more than "EVA iSCSI Connectivity Option" (alias MPX100).

I would personally choose the MPX100 - plain & simple appliance, which just do the job & could be managed as a one entity with the EVA.

The Storage Servers is more flexible (e.g. could be a gateway for more than one EVA or anything else) but requires more maintenance (backup, patches, etc.)
