DL380 with 2 tape-device problems

Hi.
I have a DL380(NT4-sp6). I have connected 1 IBM Ultrium TapeDevice with SCSI-ID 8 and 1 HP SureStore DLT1 with SCSI-ID 9 on the external SCSI-port (VHDCI).
When the server boots it only finds one the tape-devices(it is terminated).
I had the exact same configuration on my old ML370 with NO problems at all ?

Any hints ?

Because of SCSI priority you should better use SCSI-IDS 6 and 5.

IBM Ultrium Drives often have trouble with the host bus adapters. We always use Adaptec U320 for them. This will work.

Which firmware is used with the DL 380 and what model is it?

what i saw at second glance.

How is the cabeling?

Mirst drive must be not terminated. Than daisy chain to the second terminated device.

Have u changed the order?
Do both drives work "standalone"?
Have you cheched the bios settings for the controller?
